| Rick has developed his own brand of guitar playing in his 30 years of performing. He is a seasoned, solid player, bringing his own style of leads and rhythm guitar to A 5th of Blues. Rick is into a roots tone and gets his on the spot inspiration from his band mates, making his leads in the moment and Inspired. Rick gets his sound from his faithful, modified Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp, and his trusty modified Fender Stratocaster. He relies on his Epiphone 335 Dot Neck for his warm, deep tones. Rick has played in many bands over the years, to name a few, The Lone Star Band, 7th Son, The Jay Turner Band, Jimmy Seville and the Real Deal Blues Band, Jimmy Seville and The RDR Ryders, and A 5th of Blues. Rick grew up on and has played in Country, Rock and Roll, and Bluegrass bands , and has always ended up back at his heart and soul, the Blues. |
